Hello, I have been in the visual arts field since 1989. These drawings and sketches are what I do. They are a snapshot in time of what I am trying to express or resolve. Sometimes the expression is incomplete until I can uncover a better solution.
I hope you enjoy what you see. I have had a good time growing along with the drawings. For less illustrative work, please click on the Doug's gallery link. You will find more quiet pieces there.

POST 200!!!! Sketch of Image comics character Detective Twitch. playing around on gray paper again then adjusting hues ever so slightly with a simple mask or two. Just playing around. Trying to generate a visual thought.
I love the comical mixed with the self-importance. I love the pokey hair. He's great! And where oh WHERE do I find a jacket like dat!? FABULOUS! You just know that he has some top secret formula from Area 51 etched into the bottom of that dixie cup. Yep...he's da man.

Thanks heaps. I just always liked how Twitch was created. He reminded me of the actor Michael Jeter from Evening Shade.
beautiful!! Great character!
Alina, thanks so very much. I am such a fan of your work. It is simply stunning.
Hands down my second favorite of the week! Ha, really nice Doug, really really nice.
Thank you Sir, I may use this gray paper to further explore some techniques in the future. It has so many applications.
