last of the zoo inspiration. Decided to play with the last of the medium gray paper by working a white image. Just for play. Wasn't going to post but it is becoming a habit. This is a small piece. Letter size.

Having just gone to the zoo, I love this piece. I love the roughness that evens out its grace and elegance. No churkendoose here, man. I agree on the ghostly thing...just a hint of it.
Thanks barb. thanks heaps. just between you and me, i just got tired of doing the water and scribbled it out. that's why it is rougher than the swan. No deep meaning. just lazy. but don't tell nobody.
LOVELY. That's so....Picasso of you. I used to do that too; scratch stuff out, but then my patients only got 10 tablets instead of 100 and they'd get PRE-TTY whiny so now I just shred paper into VERRRRY long strips. rrrrrriiiiiipppp. Don't YOU tell nobody neither!

Thanks Ms. B. It was a bit odd, working in reverse. building highlights and having the darks be built of the negative areas left from the paper. It is a good experience.
Amazing stuff. I always found it easier to do white on gray or black paper than the other way around. I often just stuck with my white charcoal pencil and worked on black. This is wonderful though. I would say that the image has more of a storm sort of feel though. That the swan is being surrounded by wind or rain. It is really beautiful. Great job.
