Becca

during the Holiday year end break, I played around with drawing while listening and watching a DVD by legend Anthony Ryder. No way in comparison, I ain't even in the same block... but it was fun to listen to Mr. Ryder speak while I was drawing. Inspirational.

Children of Dark and Light stage1

The start of a new piece for the October season. The Children of dark and light. This is day one on the piece, and the top half of the board. It was four scans photomerged together to achieve this one image. We shall see how this progresses.

5 minute and a 10 minute dwg for the last two sittings at the end of the day. I had master artist Sherri McGraw. A wonderful teacher, and a blessing just to listen to. I have learned a bit about myself from each of the instructors and presenters. I am happy. I am very happy that I am home, but I am happy.

I attended my first workshop... the American Artists Weekend with the Masters. Lots of wonderful people and so many gracious instructors and painters of world renown that I was simply happy to be among them. The drawings above were some of the many that we did in a day of gesture drawings. Most of all were 2 minutes or less.
